So the above jacket (Rougher) for example, its tricky to say which specific contract ,without seeing more details, like zipper etc.
i.e. so pocket shape/ profile can not tell specific contract etc.? Thanks btw

Broadly speaking yes. Sometimes you can ID their goatskin contract if the photo are good enough. The 16159 appears to have had more pointed pocket flaps than subsequent contracts, but there was still variation within later contracts.

Unfortunately the message board equivalent of the statute of limitations has happened Greg. Too much time has passed since I started the thread and the edit function for my first post here has long since disappeared.

Thanks Andrew, that makes sense... I am aware of the 16159's more pointy flaps, interesting that...
