Yeah those 762x25 rounds were extremely powerful for its day .. it puts out similar ballistics to near that of a .357 mag. with some scary penetration results. My range won't allow TTs because they destroy the targets.
Exactly. Can't hit metal targets as it will just go through.Yeah those 762x25 rounds were extremely powerful for its day .. it puts out similar ballistics to near that of a .357 mag. with some scary penetration results.

We can’t use handguns anywhere except approved gun clubs. It’s actually been like that since the 60’s. Some of our gun laws are good, but some are ridiculous. I can’t use my handguns on my property, not even a 22. Not even a black powder ball and cap. But, I can shoot any rifle on my property, regardless of caliber. Doesn’t matter if it carries 5 miles. As long as the barrel is no shorter then 18.5 inches. Hand guns and rifles with shorter than 18.5 inch barrels are considered restricted, therefore can only be used at an approved gun club. But I can buy a 12 gauge pump shotgun with a 6 inch barrel, unrestricted, unregulated. Yeah, silliness. Can you simply go to some no man land, to shoot your TT?
thank you, I guess it’s only good for self defense against wild animalsWe can’t use handguns anywhere except approved gun clubs. It’s actually been like that since the 60’s. Thank youthe pistols I have are technically owned by the government of Canada.
It’s actually very difficult here to use a gun for self defence (except wild animals) . If someone breaks in with a gun, technically you can use a gun to protect yourself. But, anyone who has ends up bankrupt from lawyers fees. Months or years of court cases. And you’re arrested and jailed. All of your firearms are confiscated and they issue a prohibition order. So if you lose your case, your guns are destroyed and you can never own another one. I’ve spoken to lawyers who specialize in this and they told me if someone breaks in, use a baseball bat or something. If you get out your guns, you’ll end up more fucked then the criminal who broke in. It’s crazy. It’s also why we have so many break ins here.thank you, I guess it’s only good for self defense against wild animals![]()
There’s “currently “ a ban on buying and selling handguns, but you can use what you already own. Unless it’s something that was actually banned at some point. We also have a max mag capacity of 10 on handguns. Center fire semiautomatic rifle is 5 as I recall. 22 semiautomatic rifle is unlimited capacity.Thank you![]()

Agreed. As I said, some of our laws here are good. Need a license, background check and they have to be stored properly. That all makes sense to me cause let’s face it, there’s a lot of arseholes in the world, so there has to be a way to regulate it a bit. Probably easier to do up here as firearms are federally regulated. Same across the country. I believe your regs vary from state to state?Unfortunately 90% of gun control laws are ridiculous and do nothing to further protect the innocent and only impede the ability for a person to protect themselves, their family, or their countrymen. Anyone that is of age, mentally competent, and a law abiding citizen should have the right to safely and responsibly own and operate a firearm. This may be an unpopular view, but seeing what has happened throughout history when the right to bear arms is taken away from citizens is a very sobering thought.
Nothing more to say on this subject as I don't want this thread to become political and get locked.
