Yes, 8 3/8", first real gun I bought, at a gun show in Baton Rouge in 1990. Childhood dream to own a "Dirty Harry" gun

They only used the 8.375" barrel 29 for publicity stills. The movie model was 6.5" -- a model that wasn't available long, replaced by a chintzy 6" model.
