This jacket is Capt. Max Petrisek's jacket. He was the youngest Command Pilot in the AAF at the time. He completed the 63 missions, he lost one crew member. Traumatic, stuff. The B-26 Marauder was able to outfly the flak I think. Not as much of a target as the B-17.

Getting the patches together for my RCAF helicopter crew jacket. I was in 443 Squadron towards the end of my military career. I was not on helicopters though actually, I was in logistics, so I wore DEU combats. I thought it would be cool to have one of these jackets. 443 Squadron fought in the ETO based in England during WW2, and flew Hurricanes and then Spitfires.
