I’ve had a b-3,b-6 and Irvin over the years but they always end up as closet queens. I find them too restricted and bulky. And I haven’t flown through the winter months in many years. We do get some cold snaps, usually in January, where it goes down to -25 or so, but probably no more than a couple weeks of it. Now that I’m retired I keep my ass in the house if I can. If I do have to go out and clean the driveway etc, I’ve got company issued cold weather gear from my airline days. Parka, insulated coveralls etc. I can recall a few nights on the ramp wearing long johns, insulated coveralls, and a parka, all together. Rare though. For sure. Wasn’t all misery. There were some exciting times. I can remember times when we were so cold we were laughing about it. It just seemed ridiculous to be out there.
