What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

And you probably made a jacket friend along the way. :)

Sadly, I don't think that I did Jan. I messaged the seller afterward and never received a reply. In all honesty, he might have thought that I lowballed him on the price. In hindsight, my offer was probably on the low side, but it was based on the wonky (and not correct) measurements listed. I assumed that the jacket might be tough to resell if I decided it wasn't for me. Regardless, the seller countered at $80 higher than my offer price. In the end, he had cash in hand and no eBay fees, so I count that as a win. The jacket had been listed for a few months at the time that I ended up taking it off his hands.

Hey, he got 15% more than he would have gotten from eBay, and didn't have to pay shipping. That doesn't sound so bad to me.

If it is 15%, then I believe that I gave him $100 less than what he would have received through a sale on eBay. Not ideal, but not terrible either considering the amount of time that it was listed.

I hate Ebay now. I used to buy loads of things off of there about 20 years ago and sell the odd thing. It's a complete have now, you get rooted as a seller and buying stuff isn't what it was back in the day.

20 years ago it was awesome, now it's crap. Simple as that.

Jacket-wise and on a happier note, although it's been warm here I had the 1st gen AVI Bronco on for a quick wander round the neighbourhood when a little rainstorm came over.

No point in photos as I must have posted pics of the thing at least a dozen times. Yes there's more accurate in the smaller details but I just love the thing, the leather, the fit and how it's ageing. Bloody great jacket.

New GW Star 48. The closest you can get to a new in box original!

Yeah, I really like the finish on that. A nice matte finish in a medium brown, just like what you see on originals. How do you find shinki - stiff, pliable, thick, thin?
I have an old GW RW in Shinki which is quite pliable now. I didn't like the finish on it but the way the leather acts seemed to me like an original. The leather "paint" finish seems like many originals I've seen. The Shinki on this jacket is quite stiff now but from my experience with other jackets I think it will loosen up.
