Just the mornings. Even the B-3 gets some wear.Nick, I don't know how you wear those jackets in an L.A. summer, but I'm glad you do.
Yeah …. I feel your pain Nick. Last week it was around 95F with 90 % humidity most of the days down here. Too hot for T’s, Flip flops or shorts, Might be time to thin the herd a little .Just the mornings. Even the B-3 gets some wear.
Once took the B-3 on a trip where I couldn’t stop to take it off. It reached 80F in the car. That was about as miserable an experience as any.
Monday morning blues somewhat remedied by the Fried Ostermann.
That Fried is freaking awesome!

This jacket's kinda-sorta a tribute jacket to my grandfather. He wasn't a pilot, but he was a marine who fought and was wounded at Okinawa. VMF-222 fought at the battle, so I thought I'd do a tribute to one of the fighter squadrons that was helping to keep my grandfather alive, and to the F4U Corsair, AKA Whistling Death, AKA The Angel of Okinawa:

It's definitely a short jacket on me, but I think I'm in good company:
Just for some variety, I tried it with P-41 trousers and the sleeves rolled up:
