Cool Kodachrome photo taken at a Bing Crosby concert. Interesting to see the primary colors used for the jacket art are readily available paints used by the ground crews (prop tip yellow, red and blue used for insignia).

Man …….hopefully the wearer survived the war but wouldn't you love to know if the jacket survived and if it did where its at today?

I'm entirely with Edward with that sentiment Grant, that's absolutely stunning. There's a few of us posting pics from the war for various units and although they're often nice, they are repetitions of a theme (I'm guilty with 4th FG stuff!) so it's really, really special to see an image which is unique and a cut above the rest of the herd which this one is.

This is as good as some of the best colour ones out of the Korean War.

If there was one of those clapping emoji thingies I'd be using it now, thanks!

I also keep this plastic 1943 calendar in my AAF wallet as it has a hermetically sealed 4 leaf clover on the opposite side. coincidentally my auto insurance is with Travelers! lol!
