Plenty of generic stencil sets available but your cost effective solution is to print something on a bit of card in the right font and size, cut out the letters with a scalpel and Bob’s your uncle - one stencil.

I only have three ww2 jackets. One is an A-2 with provenance. One is a 1944 Irvin. The last is a G&F M422A.

If it didnt' come with one then just leave it. If it's faded. Leave it.

I’d say it depends. If it’s an original, I agree, leave it or send it to a pro to restore the stencil. But an AVI, for example? Could be a fun project.

2 inch military stencils would do the job .
You’d have to apply each one individually I’m learning as I go .

Yes, I'm conservative and I probably wouldn't add anything to the original jacket that wasn't there originally..... Although I'm tempted.

So .. this is my latest attempt at stenciling .
It’s a Bronson M-421A jacket. The original M-412As had “USN” stenciled on the inside of the pocket .See below

The Bronson M-421A doesn’t have this feature so I added it . See below
The stencil used on the Bronson was the same size as an original, but the photos make it appear larger .

Agree .. the old WWII font is difficult to find.
If anyone knows where they’re sold please pass it on.
