Boys. Is there a template available somewhere to make the USN lettering for the G-1 jacket collar?
This is a very inspiring and informative thread.

If you have a printer man. I gave up on the HP Printers a long time ago.Plenty of generic stencil sets available but your cost effective solution is to print something on a bit of card in the right font and size, cut out the letters with a scalpel and Bob’s your uncle - one stencil.
I don't know the font or the size..... I'll leave it at that for now.Plenty of generic stencil sets available but your cost effective solution is to print something on a bit of card in the right font and size, cut out the letters with a scalpel and Bob’s your uncle - one stencil.
I’d say it depends. If it’s an original, I agree, leave it or send it to a pro to restore the stencil. But an AVI, for example? Could be a fun project. If it didnt' come with one then just leave it. If it's faded. Leave it.
2 inch military stencils would do the job .I don't know the font or the size..... I'll leave it at that for now.
Yes, I'm conservative and I probably wouldn't add anything to the original jacket that wasn't there originally..... Although I'm tempted. If it’s an original jacket I would not mess with it.
It would only devalue the jacket.
Agree .. the old WWII font is difficult to find.Except for the difference in the font used, it looks bang on! Great job, Burt!
