Incredibile, I’ve never seen a B-3 like that too!
Seems like a mixed batch of regular seal brown sheepskin and the white skins used in the 1937 (and prior) contracts. But as far as I know, Perry Sportswear wasn’t awarded a contract until 1941.

Could be… But, according to Full Gear, only Aero Leather made B-7 and A-6 pants

Werber, rw, and others made a-6 pants. Though full gear is very good info source, aiota misses a few things,and gets a couple wrong.

Also keep in mind that Aero and Werber (makers of A-6 trousers) are in close geographical proximity to Perry. It's very likely that they were being supplied by some of the same tanners. If one of them had a contract at the same time that Perry had a B-3 contract, and the tanner was supplying them both, it wouldn't be hard to end up with a slight mixup in the orders.

Yeah, but he (or rather the character he plays) was wearing an honest-to-goodness 1937 B-3. This one is a 1941 contract, which is why it's surprising people.

I snagged this one because of how wild and weird it is. Attached are some pictures of the finer details on this one. Mixed color seam tapes and shoulder rank flap things, closeups of the untreated shearling and the insides of the seams. Would love to hear some opinions on this one.
