Being the 4th FG fan that I am, great to see all of Don Gentile's gongs there. A very impressive array of "fruit salad" as the RAF types would say

Ah, my old friend the late, and much missed, Paul Chryst's "Times A Wastin" A2.

Who was subject of a well known photo taken by his crewmate and friend, navigator John Allen.

"Paul Chryst, high altitude, on station, scared, cold"

Hi Burt,

Thanks for sharing those pictures. They are indeed great. The Air Force museum is really a treasure trove of WWII historical artifacts. I have to go visit the place one day.

The tornadoes touched down in a few different locations and there were some casualties and some severe property damage.
That’s about the extent of what I’ve heard and read about it. One touched down about 5 miles from where I stayed when I was there.

Many thanks for these Burt, if I ever get over your side of the pond again I will be putting a chunk of time aside to visit.

As an aside I like to study original jacket painting, the majority of which display a folk art quality compared to many of the overworked modern examples.

Burt, thanks for the photos, especially for the Memphis Belle. When I was in April in the States, I couldn’t visit the Ohio Museum.
Last time when I visited WP Museum there was another beauty B-17 on display.Here are my pic.



Do you know, is she still there or is there now Belle only?
