Thank you DanyWhen a jacket has such nice leather and look, and the fit is great, who care for accuracy? Definitely has the 30's inspired cut.
You look good in it too.
Cheers,
D

While I have no proof of this, to me it looks like this jacket was used as the inspiration for the Wested Indiana Jones Jacket. What do you guys think about it ?
Nice jacket nonetheless Burt. Beat it up, put on a newsboy hat and I can see you on the new York docks in the dirty thirties.Today it’s “The Jacket That Never Was”
A jacket that was marketed and sold by Avirex as the USN G-8 flight jacket. It was supposedly used during the 1930s time frame but there is no historical or photographic evidence that this jacket was ever issued by the U.S. Navy.

LukeIt's 14°F this morning. Not sure if I'm a fan or not. My RMC N-1 and this original M-65 with a liner have done fine keeping me warm the last three days with a couple layers underneath. I'm starting to suspect that I need something with a warm hood. My shaved head and neck are still cold with a beanie and turned up collar.

At 14 F … that’s N-2B or N-3B weather. My choice would be an N-3B. The short N-2B was worn with nylon USAF Artic bib overalls and with just wearing jeans … my ass gets cold !
LukeThanks Burt. I'm sorely lacking in any cold weather jackets. I've always just worn ski-type jackets when it gets below 32°F in the past, but that doesn't really mesh with my wardrobe nowadays. I was dead set on finding something in shearling, but my bigger need is probably something in nylon or cloth with a hood. This bare head thing is fairly new to me and it absolutely sucks during this type of weather.
Same as the lost worlds raiders i sold a number of years ago on fedora,,brilliant jacket,it was a 42,it would fit me now,may see if it's still aroundToday it’s “The Jacket That Never Was”

One of my warmest combos is a fleece lined zip hoodie and m65. It’s like a fireman’s jacketLuke
In that case get yourself a double thick Carhartt fleece lined hoody to wear under your M-65 .
With the knit cap and the hoody pulled up you should be toasty . Trust me I lived in Pittsburgh years ago where the winter temps got down to single digits . It works .
badass.15 Fahrenheit and a bit too cold for my favourite jacket, but I only need to make it to the car Bronson watch cap protects the spots where hair used to grow.View attachment 175273

That would work !
Excellent suggestion Vincent. I would be lying if I said that I hadn't thought about a Coastal Command.
