Over the moon with this one. It’s been a while since I’ve acquired a vintage USN in very good condition. Knits were replaced recently.

Unlabeled, but seller claims it as a California Sportswear 7823. 1960 I believe. This one has a more pointed collar which is more M-422a-ish.

What’s this stamp about? Never seen one of these before.

Undoubtedly, vintage goat is THE leather.
I’ve seen that stamp on some contractor labels on 2nd generation A2 jackets with the DSCP labels .

That's a DSA acceptance stamp. Commonly found on USGI weapons and other items beginning in the early 1950's.

Fivestar Roughwear 27752 of the rack size 42. Brandy Horsehide leather. The hide is soft out of the box and has good grain, not as accurate as high end makers . There is definitely room for improvement but @Shawn Ali is continuously improving his jackets . They just need to take a bit more time when putting the jackets together and concentrate on the detail. Saying that the jacket is well made and a pleasure to wear and is comfortable from the start.

I want one. I'm too new here to know what all the shorthands and initials mean for manufacturers and sellers. So far, I have concluded that BR is I''m Rickson, he's Bolan, which way to the Victoria Street Station? (If I'm remembering the dialog).
Mind telling me who sold it, as well?

GW = Good Wear. We actually have a guide to manufacturers from about a year ago that helps with the abbreviations:

Thought I should show some love to the Aero Leather Clothing Scotland 15142-P George Preddy tribute jacket. I installed a NOS Talon on this one when the iffy repro went bad. As a consequence I'm looking to have an original zipper on my higher end jackets whenever possible. Go with the best forget the rest when it comes to zippers, you won't regret it.

Nope as I said go for the NOS zippers every time. The zipper on my BR B-15 is an original Conmatic, that really makes it. I wouldn't be too sure of a BR without a NOS zipper on it. I'm a total zipper head, repro zippers that fall short of the mark in a high end jacket will not cut it for me. That's a cool Pritzker by the way. What year would that be?

Agreed with all of the above, every Real Mccoy I own have NOS Crowns (and they are beautifully smooth) or Conmars and it shows. But not all Buzz house zips are bad but they don't compare with NOS, its just not on par with the original engineering.

That Pritzker is a 1951 old boy!

No, lol, just the real expression have a buzz... not Buzz Rickson is this or that. But their own Crown M-48 Smaller ones on the L-2's are pieces of shit!
Once again Dany … completely agree with you. I had a Buzz L-2b that I sold to “ Officer Dibley “ when he was on the forum . Poor guy had the jacket about a month and the Buzz Repro Crown separated and trashed itself .
