Here’s an example of the Gypsy engine. This happened two weeks ago to another buddies tiger moth. That’s a hole in the crankcase from throwing a connecting rod. Luckily he was close enough to the field to make it. Dead sticking biplanes is no small feat. When that fan stops they come down like a stone.View attachment 83710

Hi everyone! I’ve been MIA here because I’ve been working a lot of overtime at my job… Not a bad thing I actually enjoy my job especially when I get that paycheck with overtime on it! Lol! Just had the category one version of hurricane Ian yesterday but pretty much a non-event… Did not lose power… A lot of rain & some gusts… A few trees down here and there and some coastal flooding but nothing really to speak of… Stepped out this morning under perfectly clear skies nice cool weather with a slight breeze and lots of debris providing the incredible scent of fresh cut pine in the air!
