ELC Werber is on truck for delivery. Can’t wait.
Looking forward to seeing it . That’s always been one of my favorite contracts . I still remember the guy from about a year ago who popped up on the forum with an original Werber 1729 that belonged to his dad , and wanted to know who could change out the knits and do some other stuff to make the jacket wearable . Everyone tried to tell him what he had and to just preserve the jacket in its original state and to get a repro to wear . I don’t think the guy was happy with our answers as he was gone in a flash .

Well .... it looks like winter has officially ended in Florida and we are going right into summer without any springtime . It’s 86 degrees Fahrenheit today. Damn the jacket season is so short down here. Anyway I know it’s too warm for a jacket but I’ll try and fake it . So if you’re into nylon, here’s what I think is one of the best cheapo jackets on the market today. I’ve had a Buzz L-2b and with a few exceptions this comes in a close second . It’s a China made Jinruishi L-2b . Price about $100-120.00 US.

Looks like a goddamn original, well done. Hope you had a refreshing spring walk. :)

It's much used and abused jacket but just shrugs it off.
I was not wearing it for a walk in the park, spring or otherwise lol ;) one of the dirt deflectors went AWOL off the cab of our horse truck a while back (the big blue thing visible in the far distance through the tree). I had a replacement delivered that required prep and spraying the colour of the truck. Once that was done it obviously needed fitting. I took the other one off the other side and resprayed that too ;)
I find doing physical stuff so soon after chemo serves as a distraction from the side effects but I can only manage short spells of an hour or two at a time :)

That is very good to hear. :)
Doing something from an hour or 2 is better than nothing. After all, the little steps add up.
But please do listen to your limitations (both as prescribed by your Dr. and what your body is telling ya)
Alcohol intake, however, is not impacted by chemo (from my understanding); is this true? ;)

TBH you have to listen to ya body as a pointy is reached where it's like hitting a brick wall. There is a gradual build up and then that's it, physical fatigue becomes overbearing as does the 'chemo brain' effect where mental abilities start to suffer. My particular regime calls for strong steroids for a few days after the actual chemo session, these can and do impact people in different ways but tend to give me energy and cause restlessness [and insomnia] over and above the norm hence getting out and catching up with a few jobs while the weather permits.

Not sure about the alcohol and the actual chemo but the steroids and other stuff I have to take on a daily basis continue to make the drinks cabinet out of bounds:confused:

I see, man that sucks. I am sorry to hear that. In that case, please just take it easy.
There will be many pints to celebrate when every last part of your treatment is done and dusted.
Beer goggles over Chemo Brain. Stay strong.

Gorgeous thing. ELC Werber. Not too grainy; they did a nice job picking a hide matching a pre-war A-2. Hookless zipper scares me but otherwise I’m very pleased. The leather does not feel lighter than the Star I remember.

Oooh, I've been waiting for this one.
I really love that shade of mustardy russet. Goddamn, everyone's jacket colours have really been catching the light in spectacular ways these days.
Well done! No regrets now, eh? ;)
