I have P42 during mid 2000s , first generation repro in China, they are still wear-able now,.
But, I want better quality one, and not expensive as RMC or priced priced.

And for para marine jacket, I am willing to pay more, just not as much as RMC.
In my case , I don't want to wear camo , contextually some people could think I'm a paramilitarist far right and this is not the goal !!! ;) Even when I wore a Mohican hair cut some no brain guys though I was a skin head neo nazzzzz , fotunately now I'm bald , it is a common hair cut !!! ahahaha I am always careful not to be too military and not politicaly engaged... We are living strange days ...

Hi Michael ! You're right , it's a matter of feelings , I feel that too when I watch some movies ( except Flash Gordon !!! ahahaha ! ) Is it a projector ??? If so , with the audio movie system you seems to have it must an great experience !! I remember when I was a child my dad took e to see "the Battle of Midway" 1976 - I was 7 at that time !. It was a great experience 'cause the sound was HUGE !!!!! It was cool for me but my dad told me that he felt his chest tremble during the fight scenes , and there was a lot of dog fight scenes !!!! ahahaha Great souvenir even I was very young ;) So enjoy the spectacle !!!
By serching some infos about the sound on the 1976 movie I found out why my father had suche an exprience with it , here is the wiki explenation :
"The film was the second of only four films released with a Sensurround sound mix which required special speakers to be installed in movie theatres. The other Sensurround films were Earthquake (1974), Rollercoaster (1977), and Battlestar Galactica (1978). The regular soundtrack (dialog, background and music) was monaural; a second optical track was devoted to low frequency rumble added to battle scenes and when characters were near unmuffled military engines."
I wish you the same !!!! and courage to your wife ;)

the Battle of Midway
Also a great movie, I’ve seen it several times (like the most WW2 movies :) )
But I believe you, when you were 7 and you go to a cinema and you hear and see all of those planes flying and shooting around on a big screen, that’s something special… that moment you won’t forget:)
And yes, I like to watch these kind of movies on a projector, that’s just great
Memphis Belle/Pearl Harbor/Battle of Britain (Midway) etc…
I can watch it all over and over again and still love it :)

Those are some nice looking cords Jan. I thought they looked really great with the B-15C and the White's the other day.

That cold air is heading this way as we speak. Wind chills are supposed to be -20°F over the next couple days. Tulsa and NE OK are going to get decently hammered with snow (8"+ IIRC). On the bright side, I see A-2 temps on horizon.

Really looking forward to seeing that RW. :)

From what I gathered through my emails with JC, his favorite A-2 makers to reproduce are RW, Dubow, and Werber.
Aero 16160 as well.

Thanks! Believe it or not, a pair of LL Bean cords I found on eBay.

Wearing the ELC D-1 again. The girls and I were out at a school board meeting tonight, watching the Mrs. be announced as a PAEMST award winner (Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching). Pretty big deal as it's the highest recognition that a K-12 mathematics or science teacher can receive in the U.S.. A trip to the White House will be coming up in the near future.

Never tought it's the BRONSON A1 - i own one as well - seems i need to follow your example and get more work into her. I don't like those boxy shoulders on mine - like a HERSHEY-bar and need to get rid of 'em.

Loooove them MONKEY-pants Yves
Here is the way I proceed : 1st under the shower cold water , then I wear the jacket 'till it's dry ( it will go more quickly than the A2's , the sheepskin drink less than the HH for example ) then a layer of grease ( I use Ouraline from Saphir) ,I turn the jacket over by folding it inside out, lining visible, being careful to fold the shoulders outwards (photo 1) and also fold the collar in the same way and I roll it into a ball storing it in a cupboard (photo 2)... I leave it for one or two days and I apply a leather cleaning lotion (Saphir again) then a good wipe and it's good. Then I always fold the same way, in a ball in the closet or on a chair back. Photo 3. It's very empirical but for me it works! Oh!!! To have nice folds on the sleeves I put them in an inside out corkscrew.

Big congrats, Lucas. Something tells me these two beautiful young ladies are going to grow up to be highly intelligent, beyond what they already are I’m sure.

Congratulations from one teacher husband to another!

Teachers rock and shape the future, their ability to change lives is (often) totally under-appreciated...
