That's a beautiful skin!

Looking great JanToo warm to wear it, but trying on this Foster 55J14 that just returned from a refurb with @STEVE S.:
(new zip, new liner, replacement spec. label. The knits don't *quite* match, but they're in good condition, so I decided to leave them alone)

Hello,Currently, I'm proudly sporting a leather jacket crafted by my own manufacturing company. It's all about quality and warmth! Your jacket posts have definitely caught my attention – you've got an impressive collection. Just a friendly heads-up though, there seems to be an abundance of photos. It might be cool to mix in some details about the craftsmanship behind your designs. And speaking of which, drop your link so we can explore more: Leather Yard Shop. Keep the style inspiration coming!

Thanks Kermit, it means a lot coming from someone with your eye for detail. I'm a big fan of the early Foster G-1s. Just a really great silhouette and collar shape. If you're interested in a great repro, you know the folks to talk to. AVI would be a solid choice too, as their 55J14 is a copy of an early Foster. There are many beautiful jackets on this forum.
But sometimes, some stand out and catch your eye, without really understanding why...
I'm not a big G-1 fan, but damn, this one's beautiful ! I'd love to have one just like it.
It suits you perfectly ! Congratulations.

In the US I’d say $300-400, tops. They’re likely a bit scarcer in the EU, but I would think certainly under €500.I don't know much about G-1s. I'd have to read the very good thread about USN jackets in detail.
I haven't delved into it yet, perhaps a little deliberately, as there are already too many jackets I'd like to have.
But from what I understand, it seems that there are still original G-1s available, in wearable condition, for a decent price ?
If so, then I'd rather bet on an original.
A real beginner's question : what price should I consider spending to get a nice original (Korean War/Vietnam War) and portable G-1 ?
OK... I need a G-1 !In the US I’d say $300-400, tops. They’re likely a bit scarcer in the EU, but I would think certainly under €500.
