Its an new old stock US army cap from 1952, got it on fleabay a while backNice. Cool hat too. What flavour of cap is that?
Your right Steve, its from 1952, I had one that was given to me as a kid from a guy returning from Vietnam, wore it till it fell apart. Found this one on fleabay a few years back in unissued condition. I might have a few more in the collection packed away, what size head are you? Heres a photo of the tag and hat.Looks like the later issue HBT fatigue cap with the longer brim -- but I await confirmation.
Like to get one myself. The short bill is historically correct for WW2, but my dad was issued one of these late ones in 1953 and I always wanted to replace it (his disintegrated sometime in the 60s ).
Very cool. If you want to part with one I’d be interested.Your right Steve, its from 1952, I had one that was given to me as a kid from a guy returning from Vietnam, wore it till it fell apart. You're right I should, it's a bit tight in the lower arms so only really works with a t-shirt, but summer is almost here so it's the right season.Yu

Thanks, I tried a Large and it didn't fit me as well as yours does. Do you find the wool lining scratchy?Hey @geedee , it's a size Large.
I'm the same way -- to me the feel of wool says warm. It's almost comforting.A little bit, but I'm not that bothered by the scratchiness of wool in general. Others may find it more annoying.
Perfect way to put it. I notice the scratchiness a bit when I put it on, and then I just stop noticing it and the jacket just feels warm.I'm the same way -- to me the feel of wool says warm. It's almost comforting.
