One of WWI's greatest aces and almost certainly the Allies top scorer due to someone else fudging their kill numbers and pretending they got more. He hated anyone who fought for the Central Powers which was cultivated after being exceptionally cruelly treated by them at the start of the War as a prisoner. When he heard that Richthofen had been shot down he said, "I hope he roasted the whole way down." He gave no quarter and didn't expect any either.
