Wish I could say these were mine, but they’re actually @Nnatalie’s:

For the mature gentleman jeans with 2% stretch are the best thing to happen to jeans since they were made blue.
Totally agree. Wearing these cool items we love keeps us fit and well as well as enjoying them. What's not to like? And definitely the best thing to happen...As a fellow mature gentleman still wearing shrink to fit denim, the rowing machine, my bicycle and intermittent fasting are the best things to happen! Lols
I'm nearly 60 and don't fret about measurements - I always buy 34 inch waist and different makers fit different ways and some shrink, some stretch but whatever that's the point of denim . I'll leave it to people who see my pics to judge if they look ok, but there's no way on earth I'm buying stretch and ditching selvedge denim, no way at all. That stretch stuff is totally aging "grandad" and yuk IMHO like socks with sandals and beige M&S cardies with leather elbows, sorry, but if you're comfy, carry on.At 5’10 i’m 165# and wear 32w. Not fighting a battle to stay lean. I just prefer to not have to be so precise in all of the measurements for comfort. I did the IH army thing for years. I’m awol. I also only think this is pertinent over 50.
Clothes don't need to stretch if they're designed and tailored properly.Yeah, I’m in the “no stretch” camp too.
Amen and honestly , you always look epic in your denim Stanier!I'm nearly 60 and don't fret about measurements - I always buy 34 inch waist and different makers fit different ways and some shrink, some stretch but whatever that's the point of denim . Worth pointing out that there is selvage denim that has a bit of stretch added nowadays, but yeah, I have no interest either.I'm nearly 60 and don't fret about measurements - I always buy 34 inch waist and different makers fit different ways and some shrink, some stretch but whatever that's the point of denim . Really nice , you got style as usual . Nice ensemble ! I apologise but I'm intersted by the wall behind you , o the plate is written " Passant recueuille toi " is it a wall where people were shot down by the German occupant ?View attachment 168297
I picked up a pair of high-rise herringbone denim from Olderbest (a brand with the terrible name of 'Annual Ring'). They're bulletproof and really quite comfy.
This was taken at Maison Forte 10 (MF10) Saint Menges. It was detroyed by the lead elements of 1st Panzer in May 1940. I did a self-conducted battlefield tour along the Maginot Line, Sedan, Lille, Dunkirk etc earlier this year.Really nice , you got style as usual . Nice ensemble !
