Tom Neal is an aviator in this film.
(The blond actress is Martha O'Droscoll, who like the attractive brunette Hazel Brooks and blond Marian Carr, had a very short movie-career, by the way).

Theres an epaulet less civi being worn by Hackman in Bonnie and Clyde and Burt the cop is wearing what looks to be a 422a in its a Wonderful Life and I remember seeing both an A-2 and a G-1 in Starski and Hutch

One of my top ten favorite movies of all is the original 1951 version of "The Thing". Lots of A-2's and cold weather gear as a group of arctic air force personnel and scientists battle the 'blood-sucking carrot' from space. Howard Hawks directed this little gem, and it moves along like an express train.
