With the exception of anything listed under ‘Cars, Motorcycles and Vehicles’ categories all items are now free of selling fees on eBay UK. This includes Militaria. He listed it in militaria as well so he might get hit with fees. I was messaging with someone on eBay who put a jacket in clothing and militaria and was charged the full fees, and he thinks that's why. Used clothing is exempt but putting in in a secondary category which isn't seems like it might be a bad idea.
Surely the no fees thing is Worldwide ?Here in the U.S. eBay selling fees run about 14% of the sales and shipping price of the item. Now if you’re selling a Good Wear for $1000 U.S. that’s $140.00 right off the top of your take home price. That’s a big bite. Congrats to you guys in the UK who don’t have to deal with these fees. I really don’t see a down side to using eBay in the UK.
It isn’t John.Surely the no fees thing is Worldwide ?
Very strange that we should benefit like this, can't understand it. We get ripped of on everything else here.It isn’t John.
I think that we discussed this in another thread.
I just sold a G-1 jacket on EBay and here’s my final tally of where all the money went . View attachment 172185
Well … then it’s Karma . You guys in the UK get screwed on import taxes but on this one you get a pass . Hey congrats to you guys in the UK. In the US we don’t pay listing fees . If you guys don’t have to pay listing fees or selling fees … hell … I would be selling all my jackets on eBay all day long , if I lived there.Very strange that we should benefit like this, can't understand it. We get ripped of on everything else here.
