Hi Burt, not a guy, but a little girl :)
Jack Russell of my good friend, he divorced his wife, the dog stayed with him, he still in saddle (737 capt.). Sometimes when he is away for several days in long flight, he brings she to me. She is very friendly and cheerful and active, my dogs are friends with her.

My god they’re cute little buggers. I used to babysit 2 brothers occasionally. Jack and Maximus. They were little terrors though. I think they knew they were cute enough to get away with it.

o yea, she is 1.5 years old and of course she is a very active young lady, sometimes it seems like she has some kind of wind-up spring inside her :)

LV, Amazing rough outs and jump boots! Doesn't get better than those!
Thank you for these boots of execption . I started years ago with repro , from Corcoran ( ATF , or Carolina shoes ) by the time i've started searching for original WW2 mint condition jump boots and service shoes to resole if leather and stiching was good enough ( and non named - respect for the History and soldiers who carried them thrue the war ) . I found several : service shoes type 1 and 3 ( rough out with cap toe ) and jump boots , 2 pairs WW2 sure , and an other one , my last found that i believe were made for civilan use . Here are the pics ( i have the chance to know a very very good cobbler , a real Artisan ;) )
1st : type 3 rough out cap toe resoled with great DrSole soles rawcord dated 1943/
2nd : Type 2 dated 1943 , found original WW2 half soles and heels enough souples to be used - Ebay /
3rd Corcoran named and non resoled ( i don't wear these ) /
4th , my last acquisition , jump boots non militaria i believe ( i will search on militaria forum to have the last word ! ) the fact that theses have full soles . These soles and hells are original from the 40's and still souple enough to not having to change /
The type 1 from 1941 are at that time at my cobbler for little restauration .
PS : I know that some find this heresy to wear such pieces of history , but to me shoes are made to be wear .

Thank you B-Man2 , it's like you all here , i'm a new comer about the flight leather jackets and feel very humble and more and more involved , reading to all your threads on this site ! I'm passionate , like you all . ( my wife's starting to worry about my new interest about the fligh jackets !!! ahahahahah !!!! ) . Just got my 1st A2 Dubow from FiveStar today ! Think it's a good start for a collection , will see about other from 5Star and perhaps WW2 original by the time ,who knows !

Do you find them in larger sizes or the basic 9 or 91/2 M sizes ?
About the boots ? All are 10.5 to 11 , most D or E , that fits me well , i always wear shoes with leather insoles and treck socks . The last ones are 9.5 , i had to tell my cobbler to enlarge and extend them enough to wear them , without insoles and thick socks . If i cannot wear them i think that i will resell them.

Latest pair, self treat for the big 40 in February!

Pike Brothers Tanker Boots. I know, I know, those aren't real WW2 tanker boots repro, but hell... They are REALLY comfortable, fast to put on and remove and I friggin' love the leather color and the way it's ageing.
