Wow, this 42er has the pretty rare 1st type cocking handle, almost impossible to find nowadays.There's a fixation about the Waffen-SS when it comes to talking about elite German troops during WWII. In truth German Fallschirmjäger were arguably the best quality German troops of the war. Great photo of one with an MG42 on the Eastern Front...

Hi , not a photo but a cool footage the construction process of the B17 I found on FB ( groupe : B-17 Cockpit Project ) . I advise to read the video at 0.75 speed to stay close to the reality. This videao may have been posted earlier , I don't know . Anyway , enjoy ! It's really interseting !
