Low res version of one of a series of colour images taken by a RO with the 91st BG, the late Dale Darling, a lovely man and a friend. Some of his photos are well known having appeared in several publications, scanned and hawked around the internet. This is direct from his slide.

Here is some pictures from our War Archives. The first is a fighter Fokker DXXi used by Finnish Air Force. The second is a Finnish pilot inside soviet Tupolev SB-2. It is not known that the republic of Finland never bought one, but we used everything what we found :)View attachment 57972

Nice picture of this tough little fighter. Jack van Egmond and his team are actually building a new flying Fokker D.21 from scratch since 2014 in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands. More like another original than a replica, it is constructed using the original plans, materials and equipment. A great project to be sure: https://www.fokkerd21.com/en/
