What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

@CK90 and @Saint-ex

Both of those jackets look phenomenal!
Cheers Lucas. Truth be told this hide still needs a little work to moisten it up and let the bloom settle down.

Although the leather was perfect, it was so incredibly dry when I received it. Must have been lying in a box for decades.

Freenote jacket looks great (as does the hat) - those guys use really quality fabric/leather all round.

You might try some Blackrock on the jacket. IIRC, it has some wax in the formula, which I would assume should help create a surface barrier that may prevent the bloom. That bloom is just fats and salts, leaching out onto the surface. I don't use Pecards anymore as I had issues with white bloom often enough that it wasn't worth the risk. It's the only leather conditioner / preservative that I've personally ever used that caused it.

Thanks for the kind words on the jacket and the Open Road. I've been really pleased with the waxed canvas on the RJ-1. It's one of two favorite civilian style jackets that I've owned. The other is a Cole Haan wool car coat. It's what I wear during the winter months when I need to dress a little nicer for work appointments.

Thanks Lucas, I might give that a go. Yeah I recall you mentioning that at one point regarding Pecards. I had some Saphir lying around which I used on this, also very good. Part of the problem as well is the time of year - depth of winter just not a good time to get the leather to absorb properly.

Damn, that's sharp! Just my opinion but every gent needs at least one good wool overcoat like this.

My best find at the Show of Shows: a minty Poughkeepsie. :D

Only joking - it’s a Good Wear. ;)

Underrated contract right there. Maybe not as sexy as some others, but the Poughkeepsie's always look so comfortable and easy wearing. Everything about that jacket looks spot on perfect for you. My favorite fitting jacket out of any A-2 that you've owned. :)

OK...................my all time favorite, most worn, most practical, best with my other clothing, 10 outta 10 go to jacket...........period.

Waxed Trucker Jacket - Flint and Tinder.

Worried it was a little too plain at first but does the job so well........................

Probably not a huge crowd pleaser on VLJ but my fave..........
