While I don't have a picture from today, this is my early '50s Cyclist jacket from Germany. All Zipp zippers from around 1950-1952. My second leather jacket, but my first good one. The first one was a Monarch with no collar fur, shredded cuffs, and a replaced zipper. This one I got for $150 from Britain three years ago. It's a little worse for wear but it's about my favorite jacket in the whole world and one I will never let go. I think I'll be buried in this one.

What's the maker of those striped pants?

BRONSON offers similar pants but without the cuff ...

Nice condition ...
Thanks Thomas. I know you appreciate your classic U.S.N jackets!

Will do a brief write-up on this one in the coming months when I get some time.

In short, I got this for an incredible price, in top condition. The one thing is it was rather crumpled and dry, I don't think it was worn much but you can tell it has seen duty with the typical subtle aging. All parts original bar the cuffs which J.C replaced.

Needs another coat of conditioner and a little bit more water/conditioner treatment to smoothen it out just a touch more, but I love it, feels amazing wearing an original like this.

They are from an old 20s suit. I don't think you could buy fabric like it today, it was a really incredible weave, herringbone tweed with these tiny blue and red stripes running throughout. Here's a photo from when I sold it.

Maybe the most beautiful reproduction of A-2 I've seen and on top of that it fits you perfectly, congratulations Mr. Mike, you're one lucky guy. o_O
I want the same one !
Thanks so much @Kermit3D! The truth is that this jacket is indeed probably the best A-2 John build for me yet, whereat such superlative degree actually is fairly inappropriate knowing that all Jackets he build for me are perfect in every single aspect. This one just feels that undefinable knife point more right (can't figure it out myself). And it has tons of little details to be detected.
Here is another close-up from the office today:

Honestly, I'm speechless. It's fantastic.
It's impossible to tell it apart from an original.

If you don’t mind sharing this exclusivity, my next GW order will be the same.
That decal on the shoulder is beautifully weathered. John is a true artist.

Could you tell me what leather was used for this jacket? I think it's Italian leather, but I'm not sure.

This jacket screams : "I was there, I did it," and even if that's a lie, I'd rather say it's a magnificent tribute to the aviators of the 1940s.

Your absolutely right: It is Italian HH, and yes, John is a true artist! He explained to me recently how he accomplished this treasure jacket but he needs to share this secret sauce with you once you opt in for a clone of it (and surely you should go ahead with your plan!).

Believe it or not but it just looks so much more impressive in reality. I just do only have this ancient iPhone camara at my disposal and it hardly can do this jacket justice as it deserves.

Just stunning Mr.Mike, you really have reached perfection with this one.

This very much inspires me to try some seal Italian with a little aging, the contrast is beautiful.

Would love some outdoors photos in natural light when you get the chance!
