Yeah, I believe that they nailed the WW2 B-10 cut overall (even better than BR), the shell is a lightweight cotton gabardine (pretty nice but not very durable) but the lining is basically useless. Thanks for the honest review, Freddy!
It looks like a lovely cut but can tell from the way it drapes it looks a little lightweight for a B-10
Yup, it almost looks like the same mouton that FiveStar offers. It feels pretty nice, however. The mouton fur looks a little on the thin side as well.
This evening, I’ve worn this Gizemo B-10 (arrived yesterday morning) for the second time.
So far I’m not impressed, the lining is thin and doesn’t offer much insulation.
I’ve never seen a real one except in pictures Danny, but that’s the important I get. They don’t really look any bulkier than an a-2 to me. At least in pictures.I have original A-9 trousers and one B-11 Parka and the alpaca lining is thinner than one can expect. Most of my Buzz and Mccoy are very close, especially my Buzz B-15 and older B-10.
I have not seen a repro that really capture the cotton
I am not defending Gizemo but they are probably closer to a WW2 B-10 than expected.
From my point of view, a B-10 jacket was not that insulated, as well as my original N-1 by the way. They needed the electrical suit to really get some performance from the elements.
Respectfully, I find that people sometimes mixed up the popular chinese copies/knockoffs with the thick synthetic teddy bear stuff and a honest try at reproducing a USAAF garment with its intricate and misunderstood directives and material.

Pa12's Bronco will look just the same as Burt's after it has spent years in a closet on a thin hanger.
Looks pretty right on to me! Doesn't have that immediate "I'm too perfect and smooth!" impression I get with many. The pattern's good- not too short like the BR. To be honest though- at this point I'm holding out for an Eastman- if I could trust their mouton (which is too often way off) I love this pattern from this cursory look. This evening, I’ve worn this Gizemo B-10 (arrived yesterday morning) for the second time.

I think the fit suits you well. It doesn’t have that puffy look that some B-10s have. In photos, I find it looks more natural and aligns better with the period photos. This evening, I’ve worn this Gizemo B-10 (arrived yesterday morning) for the second time.

This jacket is exceptional Burt, what a beautiful color and patinaFollowing Vic’s ( Silver Surfers ) lead yesterday, and trying to put more “Vintage” into our Vintage Leather Forum threads, here’s my original Bronco 29191 in size 46 with the original Crown zipper. Just the right temperature today to air out an original A2. View attachment 176335View attachment 176343View attachment 176345View attachment 176347
Thanks for the kind words Ritchy ….This jacket is exceptional Burt, what a beautiful color and patina
GrantWhile we're showing our B-10's, here's my Eastman Rough Wear B-10. The alpaca is nice and warm but too chilly to wear today!

I can see the difference. A Bronson or 5 stars sleeves will not lay like that. They’d be all puffed out. This looks thinner, like the pictures I’ve seen of originalsWhile we're showing our B-10's, here's my Eastman Rough Wear B-10. The alpaca is nice and warm but too chilly to wear today!
