Jan, I missed this one... this set is great! The jacket is gorgeous and goes perfectly with the gloves.

A buddy offered me his old Good Wear Rough Wear 27752, so couldn't pass it up. Horween horsehide and brass plated M-43 Talon sealed the deal for this jacket addict/zipper nerd. I believe I'm the third proud owner of this fine A-2.

After a number of days of temperatures below zero, the wind shifted to southerly, the air mass moistened (a lot) and the mercury climbed to a balmy 9 deg C. Tropical! A good occasion to take a stroll on the original Aero 15142.

Really great ! I did not know how it feels to wear goatskin before wearing my GW Brono , it's just pleasure . I love the doniger , especially for the flap pockets . This goatskin is very similare to the one I own .

Today it’s “The Jacket That Never Was”
A jacket that was marketed and sold by Avirex as the USN G-8 flight jacket. It was supposedly used during the 1930s time frame but there is no historical or photographic evidence that this jacket was ever issued by the U.S. Navy.
While I have no proof of this, to me it looks like this jacket was used as the inspiration for the Wested Indiana Jones Jacket. What do you guys think about it ?

To me Avirexcokpit Schott are jackets for the average MALL SHOPPER they should made a "true military look a like jacket " instead of cheap copy and claiming that is the real deal.and that they had such jacket military issued.
