Hah - much as I might try to kid myself, nowhere close. And a good thing too - Natalie would kill me if I tried to jump a motorcycle over a barbed-wire fence.
Just received the ELC 23373 seal brown from Ebay and ... very happy ! Never worn , the leather was pretty dry , like plastic under my fingers with nasty folds on the side of the sleeves . A little layer of conditionner and it's far better . I may not like the name tag but just don't care about . If I'm upset with it I just have to remove it , I'm a simple guy... ( I wanted a seal brown , now I got one , even if my preferences goes to the stand collar from RW for example , this house ELC 22373 is very cool ) The pics are straight out of the box . Now it's better . The break in process as begun !!!
The trousers is a M41 HBT fatigue from Br MFG aned new Corcoran redyed. ( apologises for the bad pics qualities ! )

Lets fix that colar so it looks more like Hilts'. First- fold the back higher up from the neck hole so the back of the collar folds more like a regular shirt collar. Next- angle down the 2 sides of the collar so they ride against the body of the jacket. Fold the top of the windflap side over as much as it will go. Make sure those collar tips are down down down! Wet before doing all this and let the collar set.Literally the laziest Halloween costume I could choose:

What kind of collar diseases is this I discover here and there on this forum lately? Is it contagious?
It is a disease- but I tell you that those of us who suffer from it have literally helped repros go from smooth "bespoke" shiny Eastmans and Aeros of 2002 to the far more accurate Eastmans and BKs of 2024 to the GW literally almost exact copy repro A-2!What kind of collar diseases is this I discover here and there on this forum lately? Please divulge the secret of the RW epaulet. You mentioned that John is the only maker that replicates it years ago. And me with my OCD has been dying to knowIt is a disease- but I tell you that those of us who suffer from it have literally helped repros go from smooth "bespoke" shiny Eastmans and Aeros of 2002 to the far more accurate Eastmans and BKs of 2024 to the GW literally almost exact copy repro A-2!
Looking at all these weird characterictics and pointing out how often repros look different here or there translates into better repros.
True. Thought I’d left the rw world forever. Then jc brought me back.
