I'm a neoprene Aigle man myselfNeoprene Aigle's. I have not had a pair of Hunters for many a year, I was finding that I was very lucky to get a couple of years out of them. That was back in the original days and long before they started making them abroad.
GW? That hide is a ripper. Not very good at the “selfie “ thing, however wishing to contribute to this thread….so on a gorgeous warm late November day in the UK, it’s Poughkeepsie and TCB 40’sView attachment 86673View attachment 86674View attachment 86675

Since receiving it beginning of November I practically live in this jacket, an original Monarch 7823 in size 46, with just the right amount of wear at the high points. I have many repro G-1s from prime manufacturers but the hide on this one just plainly beats them all. Thick, yet extremely supple and nourished, with a gratifying hand to it. Such a pleasing grain. Interesting and elaborate lining unique to Monarch Mfg. A collar in a colour to dream of and a very, very comfortable feel and drape (for my taste). The single rib waist band exudes a quality I have not yet encountered personally. A huge shoutout to Dave Sheeley for making this one available to me. He swapped out wrist knits and nothing more was done to this garment. And now I just wear it. Day in, day out.
Yes it’s a GW Couchy
Thanks, Smithy, just received pix from a P-3C buddy of mine way north in your country right now. The aurora borealis are... immensely impressive.Great to see you around Markus and a cracking jacket!
