Love the Werber
AHH it's that jacket!! I remember seeing this in the vintage thread, one of your first finds if I remember correctly! Amazing the real deal!Ha, you gotta see the other! View attachment 64615
By seeing that real mouton collar and the zip puller shape, I would say it's rather a Ralph Edwards 7823C from 64 or 65.

If the waistband has this shape, that would make it a 64. View attachment 64697
The 65's waistband is plain.

Noo jajajjaja, that is actually a nice fitting contract.
I’ll snap some more pics. I had a ‘70 Star and this feels more akin to it. Would have never thought it was something earlier. It was a gift to me from a Lounger. A retired Navy flyer with a pretty impressive record of service, though not his issued jacket. He speculated it might have been a D or E series Bill Bros, but I think it’s goatskin. Rather unremarkable pockets, but I’m growing to really like the jacket. I’ll never sell it! That musty vintage smell with a hint of stale tobacco is an aphrodisiac.
I do find a black A-2 jacket strange, but I love William Gibson so much as a writer that I am going to give this one some props!Has anyone got a Black A2. I’m thinking about a Black A2, Olive Knits, Jungle USMC or Tiger Stripe Lining…View attachment 64594
