Yes, it's a Dutch army scarf and an almost exact copy of the WW2 British scarf. You can fold it into a (commando-style) cap. Warm indeed.
I need one of those! That's them..
Was 50s made.. like my 1955 dated Sherwood Green beret which I wore in preference to the 'sexy' Kent (as worn by LCPL MJ Macdonald-Smith)

Thanks, ordered my second one yesterday - they are great!!Seller has NOS war dated scarves on EBay at the moment!
I don't think there's something like a waxed N-1. Original jackets have some sort of waterproof layer between the shell and the liner so no need for wax. How’d you rate there N1, am thinking of getting one, do they do the waxed ones?
Fantastic WW2 British 1939 dated Jeep scarf in near mint unissued condition! | eBay
They are ideal for re-enactors, jeep owners, or anyone who just wants a great army quality scarf. These are not reproductions made in india and china but British army quality!www.ebay.co.uk
Sorry My last one was 1940 so figured I'd go back to the start of WWII...And all the 1939 dated ones are gone!! Who was it? 1941 it is!
