Amazing color, I would also not dare to change it.
Don't do it!!! J will do a terrific job, but that 1401 is a russet classic! Rather patch it up, Jimmy Stewart style or something. Re-dye it and it will lose its heritage!
To bad we’re not the same size . I have about 3 jackets that would be ideal for that job. Thanks for the input. I was starting to lean that way myself, but hearing others tell me not to change it helps confirm my decision. Maybe I'll look for a beat up russet Aero or AVI bronco to give the re-dye treatment.
To bad we’re not the same size .
Nice jacket, but these pair of jeans are great! And just like that, May weather is back. ELC RW 1401-P.

I’ve been meaning to have Jeremiah give it a Depo-style re-dye and make it a McQueen tribute jacket, since I now have two Russet Rough Wears, but the war horse is so gorgeous I haven’t been able to pull the trigger.
Nice jacket, but these pair of jeans are great!
A walk to the forest once a week became our quarantine routine. I finally made friend with this new 1982 Brill Bros G1 jacket
Not to forget to mention my favourite HBT M1947 named shirt seen on the last image, a pair of carhartt double front pants and a pair of nice 1983 military Ro Search boots.
Nice Couchy!!!
That’s a great jacket, and a great story!
Well deserved !
How many of G-1s you have?Nice jacket, I like this patched back.
It got cold here too, tomorrow I’ll probably wear one of my G-1s too
How many of G-1s you have?
No military jackets for a change. About to go grocery shopping wearing a BK reproduction of the Raiders jacket.View attachment 37542
JanYep, Lucas and Spielberg absolutely had the A-2 in mind when they were doing the costuming for this movie. It’s lamb skin from Merino sheep, which has striations similar to capeskin. First high-end jacket I bought, and the jacket that first gave me the itch for an A-2.
