It's turned mild and damp in London, so popping out to post the Irvin I sold on ebay in an unusual (unlined & no USN stamp on left breast, anyone know what it might be ?) post WW2 N4 type jacket from USS Kearsarge - a CVA33 long-hulled Essex class aircraft carrier launched May 5 1945 and commissioned March 2 1946 served in the Korean War and Vietnam War then scrapped in 1974, according to Wiki.
Along with a pair of original chinos, nice and baggy as I like my trousers. I've never had much repro stuff, as original was reasonably (?) priced in the 60s/ early70s but still have a no-name cheapo A2 repro that I used on the bikes , didn't warn to take chance of ruining an orig. and a B.R AN-J-3A from 20 odd years ago, it's still stiff as a board as I've only worn it about 3-4 times.

Navy day today...blue rollneck sweater, M-422a, ELC USN gloves and BR blue watch cap...

Art, that B-3 looks insane...stay with that size, as said a trim looking sheepskin looks ridiculous, even lighter shearlings as the B-6 and D-1 look way better when they are a little bulky..plus that's so great for layering underneath...

Your jacket looks to be a USN Vietnam era A2 jacket. Not to be confused with WWII A2 jackets. Hope that helps
Cheers
