Warmed up a bit, so A-2 weather again. I remember when I bought this one in 2014, I was babying it terrifibly, even scared to get caught in the rain. Then, after learning differently from this forum, I now almost get dissappointed when it doesn't get wet and it just keeps getting better.

I visited the Hanoi hilton, the military museum and the B-52 museum. All 3 were great as long as I ignored the writing on the signs which were really, really one sided. Sorry for the off topic:

Thanks for sharing the pictures, Greg. What a mix of Soviet and US military hardware and US aircraft wreckage (B-52s, I guess). There's even what looks like an almost complete SA-2 surface to air missile (SAM) set-up with its associated Fan Song tracking radar van and antenna array.
Is the metal door with bars from the Hanoi Hilton? What was that place like? What story are they trying to tell about the place? From just the history aspect of it alone, Hanoi seems like a very interesting place to visit. Your pics only reinforce my wish to go an check the place out!

Hanoi is a beautiful place. Hoi An was my pick of all the cities we stopped at. Nha Trang for the night life. An Aussie expat ran the Sailing Club and we treated like VIPs every second night. As it ebbed and flowed between mayhem and recovery on alternate evenings. I have a number of hard copy pics at home from our Vietnam daze....

Yes, a complete SA-2 with Fan song and a B-52 wreckage. Hanoi is worth a visit, the food is amazing! The Hanoi hilton is mainly focused on the French colonials, and both the B-52 museum and the military museum represent history in a very black and white way, drenched in propaganda, but that aside, they all are really interesting.

Thanks Tim, yeah I love this jacket, so easy to wear.
I actually asked after I received it. Apparently the supplier ran out of the mid brown and only had the seal. AVI didn't want to wait (the supplier was not sure when they would receive the new stock), so they elected to go ahead with the seal.
The seal knit was fine, but the mid brown goes much better. I am sure the seal knits were from Larry of Flightjacketknits. I asked him if he had mid brown knit, as I was going to use his to replace, but he said he was out and only had seal. Co-incidence...? Anyway, his knits are better than those they used to use.

Griffon - Excellent jacket and perfect fit. Home run!
P2725TMB - Yes, its their Timeworn Vintage Havana Warhorse. Ive had a handful of those ELC RW1401s
Each one of these will be slightly unique, in that the Timeworn treatment is hand-done.
