I have a special place in my heart for Triumphs. The first bike I ever owned was a 1966 Triumph Bonneville. I loved that bike like a woman... the Lucas Electrical System.... Ehhh not that much.....

Just to add a bit to the story... and to show you how dumb I was ... a few years later I bought a Triumph TR-4 sports car. And little did I know... What kind of an Electrical System do think it had???......

Yeah I had a couple of "interesting" occurrences with Mr Lucas' wiring systems and especially with a Mini Cooper I had.

Now that I’m able to talk with friends in the U.K. , I have to ask, was Lucas Electrical the only company that made electrical systems for British vehicles and bikes during the 50s thru the 70s or were they just the best company making them at that time ?
