We had a very cold spell recently here in the Pacific Northwest, so my "go to jacket" recently has been my ATF B-10:

I just took this less than 5 minutes ago, as I let out my pups after feeding them this morning.

Temp where I am in Southern England is almost tropical compared with those USA temps, 1C at moment, predicted -4C tonight, but even in my old battered original Aero B6 , contract 43-13616-AF it feels cold enough to think maybe I shouldn't have sold my Irvins and B3 a couple of years back. Mild London weather back then meant I rarely wore them as my bikes were stored away.
