My GW Star. I have a horrib;le phone camera so even my wife's efforts don't do it justice. I encourage the droopy shoulders in this jacket (it's a Star) and I get a kick out of how completely it fools me as if it's an original. Close up and far off. Photos don't do it justice...

Headwinds Bronco size 46. Bought this to replace my well used LL Bean A-2. Don't like the Idea of using a Good Wear for general crap. Thought about 5-Star, but didn't want the headache of returning if I had to. Seem fine for the things I have to do.

For the record I think in this case you're wrong:

You're not going to get any closer than the GW. If I squished it down for years in a trunk it would look like many in my morgue file. Burt's 48 has a particularly curved collar but there is variety- and the GW falls well within it.
