What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

12c and sunny in London, just back from our usual walk on the very Southern edge of Epping Forest just 400 yards from home. It was more like an early Summer's day than end of Winter/ early Spring in the sunshine. Si I wore the A2 that I used to wear on the bikes as it's not original or from any accomplished replica maker as it's lighter and a more "comfortable" wear than my originals.

Jimmy Stewart served with groups a spit away from my home here, purely by coincidence I just returned from a chilly but gloriously sunny Jeep ride out to one of my regular pub haunts close to one of them.
With apologies to those who worship at the GW altar I'm afraid on this occasion I was clad in ELC shearling and gloves.

great photo with Canary Wharf in background, looks like taken from Greenwich - but I don't remember ploughed fields on Blackheath, so I'm guessing further South ?
The exotica in my back garden in East London is the parakeet, migrating over from West and SWest London

Ah yes, I thought maybe somewhere near where the edge of the Downs comes up to near Croydon way.. I used to be a Sarf Londoner so know the routes into Kent and Surrey well. Drive that way quite often visiting friends but I've never noticed kites that way, always see them when going NW up the M40, where they've got much more numerous over last 20-30 years - will keep an eye out from now on.

They’re quite prolific around the local area now , even more so than the buzzards. Always a pleasure to see them just gliding around looking for food.

Somehow those Ralph Edwards G-1s even though they were made from a standard pattern provided by the Navy- somehow the Ralph Edwards version is classier and less dumpy than others.

I run 24 or so miles a week up in the Oakland hills- the birds are amazing so close to a big city. Ravens, Redtail hawks, vultures... Often it looks like an avian BOB up there as the ravens mob the hawks- diving, turning, wheeling- feathers flying...

What do you suppose LW Stuart thinks of JC's Dubows?
I would say that he would verbally piss all over them and remind people that his 25 year old DuBow pattern is the most accurate and true to specs DuBow pattern out there. I would also say that since I posted the GW DuBow and gave it some positive exposure, that I would forever be barred from ever purchasing another LW jacket again.

How many have you purchased? :p

Don't forget that he'd accuse you of living in your mother's basement in order to post on the internet all the time.
