It was a friend of mine who has some amazing sewing skills and utilized the same original holes when replacing the knits.

Definitely NOT an insult Burt ! I’ve looked at the Aero jerky hide and wondered how accurate it is. Now i know ! Well done to Ken for his copying.

New knits have made a hell of a difference. Completely upped the look and appeal. Was the artisan someone from the forum?

No not a forum member , I found a local tailor, an older Korean woman who works out of her home.

Ahhh. The 'Tiger Lady'. Met one in Sydney who saved me from myself when I purchased a 46 sized USMC jacket cheaply and attempted to tailor it. Did the work, pinned it; however, the seams and lining were beyond me. Would have been cheaper to start all over again.... it's always easy in hindsight I suppose..
