"estate sale" THE most overused term in dealing with vintage items. We are all supposed to think, "WOW, this had to have come right out of a veteran's trunk"!

I don't believe he meant in any way to deceive since he prominently states they are:

WWII USAAF A-2 STYLE JACKET
SUPERB REPRODUCTION
~ MINT OVERALL ~

Looks like there is a LOT of interest in them...too bad as I'd like to take a run at one myself.

The high numbers of bids is due to two relatively new Ebayers slugging it out, for some inexplicable reason probably thinking that they can scare each other off. That may continue but it also might well peter out as the price gets higher.

The seller always uses that 'estate..' description whatever he's selling but he always states where a jacket is repro. The two bidders could calm down as there are several GW jackets for sale on eBay again.

Maybe I should have read the entire post and link before I replied.

Yes, the seller was upfront and honest stating it is a repro. My point was that I see way too many items being passed off as "estate sale". Very catchy phrase that people love to use these days when selling vintage items/collectibles. ;)
