Agreed! It's cool that John sews the inconspicuous tag into the pocket liner so that if a jacket loses provenance folks don't mistake an old GW for the real deal.In 10 years you won’t be able to tell this one from an original WWII B-3.
JW - it almost makes up for the flea-infested oriental rug that I brought home to my apartment in college. My housemates were ready to strangle me for that one.We have a saying here in the UK, ‘where there’s muck there’s brass’ and that epitomises it exactly but reckon you’ve got gold with that new B3 from the artisan that is JC!

Would love to see some photos of your Willy’s MB when you have time .Thanks SFA, sorry things didn't work out with your repro - but glad you hung on to that original. I hear ya, I probably have even less occasion to wear a B-3 here in sunny CA, but then again I never did let practicality get in the way of doing something (just ask my wife, ha). I do ride a bit, and I have a 44 Willys MB that's fun to drive in the cold, and we get to the snow and/or high desert once or twice per year - so I think she'll get some wear.
I need to get some more recent shots, but here's a couple from a few years back - doing a WW2 camp with my son when he was in the scouts, and alongside my 48 Chrysler.Would love to see some photos of your Willy’s MB when you have time .
That is so cool … we have a few members here who own them .I need to get some more recent shots, but here's a couple from a few years back - doing a WW2 camp with my son when he was in the scouts, and alongside my 48 Chrysler.
