Great looking jacket regardless of who made it. Seeing jackets like this makes me realize that I have become a bit of a jacket snob, always thinking in terms of GWs , ELCs and Aero’s … I have to get out of that mind set. There were some pretty nice jackets being made early on by companies other that the top tier ones.

Burt,
This knock nearly of them into a cocked hat.
I have had a couple of these, the skins are better than anything currently on offer. The pattern is spot on with the correct long arms, great collar shape with a strap that is long enough to fasten.
The zips are crap though.

I agree John . It’s really a gem . Unfortunately we don’t see many of these on this side. So they tend to be forgotten about until someone pops up with one and we see what a great jacket it is. It’s sort of like the SEFTON A2. Not many in the US have them or know about them, but it was a great jacket in it’s day . Luckily Steve (Macawber) sold me his because it was too big on him. If it weren’t for that I probably would never have found one in a large size here in the US. Is this Cockpit Irvin one of yours ? Is it a size 46 ? ;) (Never hurts to ask)
Cheers

Hi Burt,
No I found it surfing Google images. I knew what it was straight away, there was no text with the image.
Because they are nearly 40 year old jackets I suspect most have ended up in charity shops or are languishing on hangers being slowly eaten by moths.
If you see one buy it.
