Some of My New Jackets

Dave,
I too think you'd be money ahead if you sold and rebought - keeping it all secondary market. The tailor bills would be huge IMO and would render the jackets unwearable but to you a few others. Hearing they had been altered from a standard size would certainly scare off many potential buyers if you ever wished to sell them. Few in the secondary market buy on site where they can try them on and keeping the standard sizing will be most helpful.
BTW, the bi-fold back of the B-6 will certainly help with binding even in a smaller size.
Keep us informed!

Update:
1. You guys were right (no surprise here) so I sold the Aero Hercules and bought an Aero 1930s half belt in black size 38 slim. Seems to fit a lot better.

2. I'm having the Cockpit Roughneck Oil Drillrer slightly tailored and will post pics when it is finished, expect to get it back late Oct.

3. I'm going to keep the ELC B6 even though it's a bit big because it feels good across the back shoulders and I can wear a sweater comfortably underneath.

Lesson learned, I think I better know my size now and what to order, although I'm probably still learning and will benefit from your comments no matter how much I may not initially like it ( wife says I'm stubborn as a mule).

Thanks everybody for your input.

Well done Dave. I've done the same. I'd rather hear the truth and adjust, even if I lose a jacket I liked. Post some pics when you can.

I hate to say this Dave but you should get rid of that one too. It looks the most oversized to me. B-6's should be trim fitting jackets and one in your proper size should feel fine across the shoulders because of the bi-swing back. It will look so much better too.

Peter,

After your post here, I tried the B-6 on again and you are correct (hate you lol). So now it's up for sale on eBay. So this has caused me to re- think my whole leather jacket "strategy" if one can have such a thing.

Now I have the following that does fit:
1. Aero Black FQHH 1930s Half Belt
2. BK Dubow in Dark Seal Brown which should be shipping in 2 to 3 weeks.
3. GW A2 SAT in Dark Seal Brown which I won't see until sometime next year, May or June.
4. Aces High Irvin which will most likely ship in 2 to 3 weeks.
5. Just ordered a Lost Worlds Black Leather FQHH Peacoat should arrive in 3 to 5 weeks
6. I did keep the Cockpit Oil Driller Roughneck, had it tailored and will pick it up tomorrow.

That's it.

Thanks for your help, all joking aside.

Dave
