Looking at the un-dyed Devon pelts I don't see why straighter fleece couldn't be requested
Personally, I prefer Andrew Swatlands's old ultra-curly type jacket (with the addition of matching collar) over the straighter ones :

I like that. It looks less dry than mine did the fleece looks much better. Is it just me or are there wide variations in the materials and finishes that are totally different to the photos on the website?
If I knew I could buy a jacket like this one I would, problem is I am quite sure I would get something very different.

That's the problem with some of these previously unknown dealers popping up.
"Bate and Switch" seems to be their business model. I'm not condemning all of them but how do you wade through the bad ones to find that one good one. I guess you just have to plop your money down and take your chances. I just purchased a blue nylon L-2b out of China for $105.00 on EBay . Photos look good but let's see what arrives.

Yes, the final product doesn't always match though. If I could buy a 50 cal b3 like the one on FB I would but somehow it never happens that way. The batch runs out.

Its run by Russ, who has done Heritage Research amongst other things. This is more of lifestyle brand, than a serious repro manufacturer, but it seems to be done with a genuine knowledge of the source materials. Few pretty serious pieces put out as collabs which have always made me keep an eye on what they do, particularly at sale times.

I know a pipe dream as it would need financing etc but I enjoyed the thought for a minute and thought I’d share.

With the Heritage Research and then later TSPTR collaborations, I think they've just taken a product Gary already manufacturers. For instance https://www.eastmanleather.com/type-m422a-popeye-vp-ml-p-462.html is just an Eastman M422a, with timeworn finish, a patch they don't usually offer and I think some had a back piece and others didn't. There's also been at least a G1, with a back piece, that I believe HR had a hand in. These are all probably done in quite big run's. I think HR is dormant as a brand now though, maybe too close to the likes of BR, RMC and Nigel Carboun, without the financial resources those companies have?
What would a sufficient number of members, all want in identical form, made? Probably a jacket isn't realistic? Or if it is, who does the panting of the jackets, is it Nigel who does the time worn/ .50 cal?
