There were many misjudgments and underestimating in addition to a lot of failures .I was reading an article about the failure of German logistics in east front.
But I didn’t realize it is Stalingrad , mistaken it as other place.
I read in some book, during the Great War, A&H was work for regiment HQ , actually not a full time front line soldier. There were many misjudgments and underestimating in addition to a lot of failures .
A lot of arrogance came ontop of all those.
Winston Churchill said one day, “we dont want him killed ( meaning Adolf H.) .. he is our best ally.”
You’re right, and his frontline experience was very little and limited… plus WWI and WWII tactics/material/strategies were totally different.I read in some book, during the Great War, A&H was work for regiment HQ , actually not a full time front line soldier.
His claim about, he has much more experience / knowledge about front line daily life ( compare to those generals) , perhaps is not true at all.
And, it is Too bad, they have authority to direct almost everything. You’re right, and his frontline experience was very little and limited… plus WWI and WWII tactics/material/strategies were totally different.
The fat boy named Hermann G. pretended the same.. “he knew all better and went through it..”
We all know he was totally wrong by all meanings.
