There were many misjudgments and underestimating in addition to a lot of failures .
A lot of arrogance came ontop of all those.

I read in some book, during the Great War, A&H was work for regiment HQ , actually not a full time front line soldier.
His claim about, he has much more experience / knowledge about front line daily life ( compare to those generals) , perhaps is not true at all.
