Had no idea...Somewhere I once read the reason for this fashion for taking photos with a costumed polar bear in Germany, something with the Berlin Zoo or with advertising soft drinks. People are generally so arranged that they like to repeat after others.
This mini serie was outstanding , thanks to Sir R Scott to produced this . I have read the book by D Simmons before and was not desapointed at all by the adaptation that took it at an other level of ..."reality" ( if I can say so ) . By reality I mean the way they act , the dialogues , .... Idid my home work after and found some books and fresh news about the searches for the remains of he expedition and found that the book / Mini serie were quite accurate. Btw , for the ones who thinks that the serie is not accurate , the serie depicte a book that is already an interpretation of the reality , so it's not a documentary . I LOVE the story and the amùbiance. I saw an other mini serie that makes me feel feel quite the same : The North water , a must to see !The one I saw was a mini series not a film, could be different?
In fact , the only "the terror " movies I found were horror movies , one in 1928 and the other 1963 , both weren't depicting the tragedy of the expedition , the only one is the Ridley Scott's mini serie .More about Polar Bears (and then some) in 'The Terror ', where an Arctic exploration vessel is trapped in sea ice in the 1800's.
Great film
Strange "tradition" , I notice the only who act agressively are the SS , with a big smile on their faces ... creapy.
Leave "electrics" alone, WH soldier looks a bit happier than electric one It is a great picture how can you find this creepy, just a pure souvenir picture.Strange "tradition" , I notice the only who act agressively are the SS , with a big smile on their faces ... creapy.
SS are creepy by themselves , imo . Such pictures are always very interesting in a historical point of view . The context of souvenir pic , I understand ! I just noticed the fact that in comparison the SS had knifes and posing like they were ready to stab the bear in contrary , the other pics were a bit more "peaceful" if I can say so.Leave "electrics" alone, WH soldier looks a bit happier than electric one It is a great picture how can you find this creepy, just a pure souvenir picture.
The book was really great, edge-of-the seat riveting stuff.good film, yes, but misses the whole point of the book, and screws around with actual events.
GO FUCKIf it hadn't been for Space Spy Recovery's prompt action when I informed them about the fraudulent investment I was duped into and then banned after they took my money, $200,000 worth of Bitcoin would have been on the verge of disappearing. Because Space Spy Recovery was able to reverse the transaction, increase the security of my wallet, and, most importantly, return my money, those scammers met their match—or at least surpassed it. Sorry to chime in at this point… but the polar bear here is a dummy and the whole thing is a mock up… at least here… not the pic with the U-Boot crew killing a living polar bear (not nice at all by our standards) for food/proteins and survival of the crew…SS are creepy by themselves , imo .
